A striking piece of blue aragonite set in hand fabricated sterling silver. The stone has beautiful icy aqua coloring with subtle natural patterning and a warm golden brown line running across its face.

That golden line has a story.

While setting the stone, I managed to break it. Rather than scrap the stone and the setting, I decided to embrace the accident and repair it in the spirit of kintsugi, using two part epoxy and gold mica powder to turn the break into a deliberate design element. The result is a completely one of a kind stone with a golden "scar" that complements its natural coloring beautifully.
 
The aragonite is framed by textured sterling silver rails over a solid sterling silver backplate, with a long, tapered silhouette and a decorative textured bail.
