This skull is cast in cement and framed in sterling and fine silver, creating a striking contrast between industrial texture and meticulous metalsmithing. Behind it, the backplate began as melted sterling silver studio scrap. Rather than cutting it into a perfect shape, I let the molten silver decide its own outline before rolling and texturing it giving new life to metal that once existed as something entirely different. No two will ever be alike.
 
Finished with a soft satin patina, every contour and shadow brings the sculpted skull to life.
